FL Officer Shot in Face Gets Visit from Country Singer
A Florida police officer who was shot in the face earlier this year got a visit from country music star Chris Stapleton.

A Florida police officer who was shot in the face earlier this year got a visit from country music star Chris Stapleton, reports the Lexington Herald-Leader.
Stapleton met Jacksonville, FL, sheriff's office K-9 handler Jeremy Mason while the singer was in Florida for a music tour, according to a post on the sheriff's office Facebook page. Mason was shot in the face in July while chasing a suspected bank robber and a three-time convicted felon, the post read.
Stapleton heard about Mason’s injury and wanted to meet him, as well as other police officers, and the sheriff’s office was happy to grant Stapleton’s wish, thanking him for his support.
