The mother of Detroit police Officer Glenn Doss Jr. is still coping with the pain after her son was killed in the line of duty. And she wants to do something to protect the city's officers and spare another police mother that pain.

The mother of Detroit police Officer Glenn Doss Jr. is still coping with the pain after her son was killed in the line of duty. And she wants to do something to protect the city's officers and spare another police mother that pain.

She has started the Detroit Officer Safety Solutions (DOSS) fund to help get bulletproof helmets in every officer's hands, ClickOnDetroit reports. She's in the early stages of setting up the fund, so there is not a Website yet.
