OK Man Attacks Officers with TASER, Police Say

A struggle ensued and the lieutenant deployed his TASER. A detective responded to back up the lieutenant, and during the struggle with the two officers, Jones grabbed the TASER and used it on both officers, police say.

An Oklahoma man was arrested last week after he reportedly grabbed a TASER from a Seminole Police officer and used it on two officers.

The Seminole Police Department Facebook page says a lieutenant responded to a possible Home Invasion in progress on Jan. 4. There he found suspect Dakota Jones and attempted to detain him.

A struggle ensued and the lieutenant deployed his TASER. A detective responded to back up the lieutenant, and during the struggle with the two officers, Jones grabbed the TASER and used it on both officers, police say.

The lieutenant drew his handgun and Jones dropped the TASER, police say.

Jones was arrested. His bond was set at $100,000.

The Seminole Police Department says the following agencies responded to the incident: Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Seminole County Sheriff's Office, Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police Department, District Attorneys Office, and Seminole Fire Department.
