Police in Arizona Shoot, Kill Accused Murder Suspect

The Farmington Police Department said that 41-year-old Pedro "Peter" Lucero was shot and killed during an arrest attempt by the U.S. Marshals Service in Mesa, AZ.

A man accused of murder in connection to a shooting last week in Farmington, NM, according to the Farmington Daily Times.

The Farmington Police Department said that 41-year-old Pedro "Peter" Lucero was shot and killed during an arrest attempt by the U.S. Marshals Service in Mesa, AZ.

Authorities said Lucero of Albuquerque was accused of shooting Francine Delgado and Rebecca Jacquez. Delgado died from her injuries while Jacquez was treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was discharged from the hospital.

According to a release from U.S. Marshals Service in Phoenix, Lucero attempted to avoid capture, and an officer-involved shooting occurred during the arrest attempt. Lucero was shot and killed by task force members

No law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.
