Police in Kokomo, IN, announced the arrest of 45 suspects "in a massive drug roundup aimed at curbing the spread of methamphetamine in the area," according to WXIN-TV.
Police say that the operation resulted in the seizure of more than two pounds of methamphetamine, more than 11 pounds of marijuana, more than 200 syringes, and some heroin. They also seized an AK-47 and some handguns.
The operation, dubbed "Operation Law and Order Part 2," was a follow-up to a May operation that netted 15 arrests. Police say more arrests may be forthcoming.
