An NYPD detective suffered a gunshot wound in the leg while executing a search warrant in Brooklyn Friday, according to ABC-TV.
The officer — a 32-year-old detective whose name has not yet been released — was struck by one of the bullets in the leg and rushed to Kings County Hospital by fellow officers.
"The seven-year NYPD veteran was conscious and alert at the hospital," according to ABC.
Police later found the suspect — 33-year-old Kelvin Stichel — by following a trail of blood.
