An Apopka (FL) police officer was in the department’s parking lot, placing some equipment in the trunk of his squad car when a bolt of lightning struck a very short distance behind him. The dramatic event was caught on surveillance video.

The officer was unhurt, but the department lost electrical power, according to WOFL-TV.
