A police officer in the town of East Pittsburgh fatally shot a 17-year-old suspect just seconds after he fled a traffic stop late Tuesday. The car had been stopped because it matched the description of a vehicle “involved in a nonfatal shooting in a town a few miles away,” according to USA Today .
Allegheny County Police Superintendent Coleman McDonough said that during the earlier incident, the victim was able to return fire on his attackers, blowing out the back window.
