Baby Injured in Ohio Police Pursuit Succumbs to Injuries

Officers with the Parma (OH) Police Department were pursuing a shoplifting suspect when the driver struck a garbage truck stopped at an intersection—the vehicle immediately burst into flames.

Officers with the Parma (OH) Police Department were pursuing a shoplifting suspect when the driver struck a garbage truck stopped at an intersection—the vehicle immediately burst into flames.

The driver—identified as 31-year-old Robert Jones—was declared dead at the scene on Monday.

Two passengers in the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital. An unidentified woman was treated and released.

Another one of those passengers—identified as five-month-old Myah Jones—has now died from her injuries, according to Fox-8 News in Cleveland.
