An officer with the Baltimore Police Department was fired for being drunk on the job after he was reportedly found "passed out" in his squad car, according to the Baltimore Sun.
A Breathalyzer test reportedly showed that Officer Aaron Heilman had a blood alcohol level of 0.22 the Sun reported.
Baltimore Interim Police Commissioner Gary Tuggle fired Officer Heilman, saying in a statement, "I looked at the totality of the circumstances involved in this case and I made the decision to terminate this officer immediately. His actions represented a safety issue for himself and the community. I simply won't tolerate it."
