Texas Officers Shoot, Wound Man Who Threatened them with Edged Weapon

A sergeant with the Fort Worth (TX) Police Department shot an assailant armed with an edged weapon who threatened him and two other officers, according to NBC News .

The officers were responding to a call that a man inside a home there was acting erratically and tearing up a bed.

The man—whose name has not been released—was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities said his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

None of the officers were injured.
