Daughter of Slain Pennsylvania Trooper Takes U.S. Army Oath of Service

According to PAhomepage.com, Breana Miller will enter the military just as her father had done prior to becoming a Pennsylvania state trooper.
Dozens of troopers and loved ones gathered as Breana was sworn in as an enlisted soldier.
Trooper Joshua Miller was shot to death in 2009 while pursuing a man who abducted a nine-year-old boy from his mother at gunpoint.
The suspect's vehicle was stopped in Coolbaugh Township (Monroe County) when members of the Pennsylvania State Police utilized the PIT maneuver, causing the vehicle to crash. Following the crash, Trooper Miller and another trooper approached the car in an attempt to rescue the boy, but the suspect opened fire on the troopers striking Trooper Miller in the neck and leg, and striking his partner in the arm.
The troopers were able to return fire, killing the suspect.
