Officers with the Ferndale (MI) Police Department are searching for someone who spread nails and screws around the department's parking lot, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The department says that this is the second time in two weeks that nails and screws have been found "strategically" distributed in the lot.
In the first incident, several car tires were damaged. It is unclear if any damage was caused in the most recent incident.
The person responsible could be charged with various potential crimes, including malicious destruction of property and malicious destruction of police property.
