National Law Enforcement Museum to Host Opioid Panel Discussion

The National Law Enforcement Museum at the Motorola Solutions Foundation Building will host a panel discussion Thursday called "Conversations — Opioids: Communities Fighting Back."

More than 300,000 Americans have died from opioid-related overdoses. In 2017, President Trump declared the opioid crisis a national public health emergency. Those who attend will learn from the panel of three experts how they are dealing with the opioid crisis in their own communities.

Aaron Gilchrist, NBC4 Today anchor, will moderate the discussion among panelists Chief Tom Synan, Newtown (OH) Police Department Museum; Lieutenant Patrick Glynn, Quincy (MA) Police Department Fund; and Jose Rodriguez, Director of Opioid Overdose Prevention for the Baltimore (MD) City Health Department.

The panel will take place Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at 444 E Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001.
