An officer with the Arlington (TX) Police Department who was shot during a traffic stop last week has been released from the hospital.
Chief Will Johnson said on Twitter, "Our Officer has been released from the hospital. He has significant challenges ahead but for now he is home."
The officerâwhose name has not been releasedâwas in foot pursuit of a male passenger who fled the stop. During the chase, the gunmanâidentified as 20-year-old Treshun Symone Millerâreportedly drew a 9mm pistol and opened fire.
The officer was struck in the pelvis.
