Maryland Police Chief Resigns Following Raid by Federal Agents

The chief of police for the Taneytown (MD) Police Department has resigned just weeks after federal agents executed search warrants on the police department as well as his residence in Pennsylvania.

Chief William Tyler and another officer—whom city officials have declined to identify—were placed on administrative leave after the January 15 raids.

According to the Carrol County Times, no charges have been filed, and the warrants remain sealed.
