Law enforcement officers from 25 agencies in Ohio gathered with hungry civilians for the ninth annual Lorain County Blue Foundation Pete Soto Chili Cook-Off on Saturday.
The event was originally named for and benefited Soto, an officer with the Avon (OH) Police Department who was injured in a traffic collision in October 2010.

In addition to the $29,000 in cash reportedly raised, agencies reportedly donated $22,000 in equipment, according to the Chronicle-Telegram .
