Man Accused of Shooting Ohio Deputies Held on $10M Bond

An Ohio man accused of pretending to be suicidal in order to lure law enforcement officers into an apparent ambush attack has been held on $10M bond.

An Ohio man accused of claiming to be suicidal and then luring law enforcement officers into an apparent ambush attack has been held on $10M bond.

The incident left one deputy dead and another wounded.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer 23-year-old Wade Edward Winn appeared in court for his initial hearing with the appearance of being "disheveled, twitchy, and bruised."

Winn is accused of killing 20-year veteran Detective Bill Brewer and wounding 22-year veteran Lieutenant Nick DeRose during a 12-hour standoff that began on Saturday night and ended Sunday morning.

Winn has been charged with aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder.
