The Miami Police Department hosted a blood drive Wednesday for one of its officers seriously injured in an off-duty motorcycle accident.
According to WPLG-TV, Mario Gonzalez—a 12-year veteran of the department—was badly hurt when his motorcycle collided with another motorcycle and a car on Sunday.
Both of Gonzalez's legs were amputated as a result of the crash. He remains in serious condition.
