The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of a law enforcement officer with the Sac and Fox Police Department found deceased in his patrol vehicle near the Kansas-Nebraska border.

The cause of death has not been released, but according to the Capital Journal, no foul play is suspected.
The officer—identified as 43-year-old Kirby Robidoux—was on duty when law enforcement officers in the area began search for him after he didn't respond to dispatchers conducting a routine radio check.
"I am deeply saddened by his death and my heart goes out to his family and all those touched by his loss," said former Sac and Fox Police Chief Ron Ridley. "He was a good officer and a standup guy."
