A deputy with the Clay County (MO) Sheriff's Office was seen on doorbell camera video rescuing an American flag that had fallen to the ground in a windstorm, folding it properly into a ceremonial triangle.

Deputy Brandon McElroy was on regular patrol when he saw the flag resting partially on the ground in the front yard of the residence, turned his patrol vehicle around, and went to attend to the fallen stars and stripes.

The incident happened on March 15 after a storm passed through the area. The agency received the video from a grateful resident and posted it to their Facebook page.
