Deputy Justin Christian—who won a World Series ring with the San Francisco Giants in 2012—entered law enforcement after leaving the game of baseball a couple of years later.
According to ABC News, the former big-leaguer was back on the diamond recently, this time to throw out the ceremonial first pitch with a minor league affiliate of the Giants.
A video posted to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office Twitter account shows Christian standing beside Sheriff Laurie Smith. Christian is seen throwing the first commemorative pitch on behalf of the sheriff's office.
