California Officer Runs Boston Marathon in Full Uniform to Honor Fallen Officers

A detective with the Modesto Police Department recently ran the Boston Marathon in full uniform in an effort to pay honor to five fallen officers.

According to ABC News , Detective Sean Dodge said he got the idea to run a marathon in full gear two years ago as a way to honor the memory of fallen officers.

"It became personal," Dodge said. "It became a mission of mine to honor those officers, and honor those families. So, I found five officers and their families that I wanted to run for during the Boston Marathon."

For the last mile, Dodge ran with his hand held high, gripping five cards with images of those fallen heroes.
