California Police Shoot, Kill Man Who Opened Fire on Officers

A man in Los Angeles reportedly opened fire on police officers late Tuesday. Officers returned fire, fatally wounding the gunman.

According to the Los Angeles Times , officers were responding to the scene of a man with a gun when gunfire broke out.

At least one patrol vehicle was struck, but no officers were injured.

The man—who has not yet been identified—died at the scene.
