Three teenage restaurant employees have been fired and arrested after being discovered to have spat into the food they were preparing for two uniformed deputies in late April.
According to ABC News, an anonymous person reported the incident to the restaurant owner, who then reviewed security footage of the event.
The proprietor of the restaurant fired the three workers and contacted the Okeechobee City Police Department.
All three have been charged with Florida's food anti-tampering act and battery on a law enforcement officer.
