A New Hampshire woman is accused of kicking and spitting at an officer with the Dover Police Department as he attempted to detain her following a report of domestic disturbance at a local bar.
According to WMUR-TV, police were called to respond to a dispute between a man and a woman at the bar. By the time police arrived, the couple were gone, but after a brief search they were located. When police approached, the woman fled on foot.
Officers apprehended the woman—identified as 26-year-old Chelsi Fogarty—and as they were placing her in the back seat of a squad car she kicked and spat at one of the officers.
Fogarty was charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of resisting arrest or detention and one count of violating her bail conditions from the Portsmouth arrest.
