According to LoHud.com, the suspect—identified as 22-year-old Kevin Santos—is being held without bail after arraignment on multiple felony counts, including attempted murder of a police officer, aggravated assault of a police officer, criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell in the first and third degrees, and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The officer hurt a hand and both arms during the struggle. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated and released.
