According to WTOP Radio, the office of the U.S. Attorney for D.C. said the officer won’t face federal or D.C. charges in the killing of a gunman—identified as 24-year-old D'Quan Young—who refused commands to drop his weapon.
The prosecutor's office reports that witness interviews, video footage, and physical evidence indicated that Young confronted and pulled a gun on the officer.
The officer drew a pistol and issued commands for Young to drop his gun.
Young failed to comply and the officer shot him five times.
