An officer with the Washington D.C. Metro Police Department who shot and killed a man while off duty in May 2018 will not face charges for the incident.
According to WTOP Radio, the office of the U.S. Attorney for D.C. said the officer won’t face federal or D.C. charges in the killing of a gunman—identified as 24-year-old D'Quan Young—who refused commands to drop his weapon.
