Officers with the Converse (TX) Police Department were surprised to discover that the subject who led them on a high-speed vehicle pursuit was a 10-year-old boy.
According to NBC News, police initiated a pursuit when they observed a Toyota Tundra driving recklessly in the early afternoon on Tuesday.
The child led police on a lengthy pursuit that ended when the child swerved to avoid spike strips that had been placed in the road and subsequently crashed into a large tree.
Lieutenant Jeff Shook of the Converse Police Department said, "There were definitely high speeds involved."
