Florida Officer Suffers Minor Injuries in Hit-and-Run Crash

An officer with the St. Petersburg Police Department suffered minor injuries when his patrol vehicle was struck by another vehicle.

According to Tampa Bay Times , the driver—identified as 25-year-old Jasmin Bentley—was behind the wheel of a Kia Spectra when the car struck the officer's squad as he was responding to a call from dispatch.

The officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Bentley eventually returned to the scene of the collision and surrendered to police.

She was arrested for leaving the scene of a crash involving an injury and for violating probation for marijuana possession.
