Dallas Police Officer Accused of Holding Gun to Wife's Head Arrested, Released on Bond

An officer with the Dallas Police Department who is accused of holding a gun to his wife's head surrendered to arrest on Tuesday.

According to the Dallas Morning News, 44-year-old Kevin Ramon Thomas was booked into the jail on a warrant from the Lancaster Police Department charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The woman reported to police over the weekend about an incident in February in which she alleged that Thomas pushed her on the floor, sat on top of her and held the gun to her head after she had taken a picture of him wearing a bathrobe and carrying the gun in a pocket.

Officer Thomas has been placed on administrative leave pending an internal affairs administrative investigation. He was released from custody after posting $15,000 bond.
