A Massachusetts man was killed and two Rutland (MA) Police Department officers were injured in a head-on collision Friday evening.
According to CBS News, 63-year-old Kevin St. Peters was behind the wheel of a Ford Fusion when the vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the side of the police cruiser driven by Officer Matthew Fenuccio of the Rutland Police Department.
Peters' vehicle careened into the woods, and in an effort to avoid the out-of-control car, the squad car driven by Officer Edward Santiago of the Paxton Police Department veered and rolled over.
Both Fenuccio and Santiago suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A K-9 in the back of one of the patrol vehicles was not injured.
