An officer and a dispatcher with the Pocatello (ID) Police Department are credited with saving the life of a man who suffered a massive heart attack early Saturday morning.
According to the Idaho State Journal, dispatcher Diana Rich received a 911 call from a woman who had just found her 65-year-old husband unconscious, not breathing, and without a pulse in a chair in the couple's living room.
Rich instructed the woman to begin CPR and called Patrolman Tyler Anderson—who was just a few blocks away from the couple's home—to respond to the scene.
Anderson then used his department-issued AED to help revive the man. Paramedics with the fire department then arrived and transported the man to a nearby hospital where he received further treatment.
