Off-Duty California Officer Shoots, Wounds Armed Man

An off-duty officer with the San Francisco Police Department shot and wounded a man in the suburban town of El Cerrito on Sunday night.

According to Fox News , the man—whose name has not been released—was armed with an undisclosed weapon and behaving erratically when the officer intervened.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
