An officer with the San Jose (CA) Police Department was bitten on the arm and dragged nearly ten yards by a car on Monday night.
According to the Mercury News, the officer—whose name has not been released—had initiated a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle and was at the driver's side door when the subject bit the officer in the arm and drove off, dragging the officer for approximately 30 feet.
The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect remains at large.
