Authorities say officers with the Concord (NH) Police Department were booking a man on suspicion of driving while intoxicated when the man allegedly destroyed a fire sprinkler, flooding the police station's booking area with more than six inches of water.

According to NBC News, the man—identified as 28-year-old Matthew Miller—has been charged with interference with a fire alarm, and criminal mischief, in addition to the original drunken driving charge.

The booking area was shut down for several hours following the incident. New Hampshire authorities say the damage to the sprinkler also set off other sprinklers that flooded jail cells and damaged the department's computer system.
