The Arlington (TX) Police Department on Monday released body camera footage of an officer-involved shooting that left a 31-year-old man dead late last week.
According to CBS News, officers had responded to a report of an aggravated assault Saturday just before 6:45 p.m. During the investigation, it was determined that a suspect had assaulted a person with a baseball bat, causing injuries to the head and arm. The victim left the residence
Officers reportedly tried unsuccessfully to communicate with the suspect, who was still inside the residence. Around 8:00 p.m., the man—whose name has not yet been released—reportedly opened the front door and drew a replica gun on officers, and three officers fired their weapons, fatally striking the assailant.
