Man Sentenced to 99 Years in Prison for Kicking Texas Officer

A man with a long criminal record who kicked an officer with the Denison (TX) Police Department in April has been sentenced to 99 years in prison.

According to KXII-TV , the man—identified as 59-year-old Donnie Mills—was seen in body camera footage kicking Officer Chris Bell.

Bell had arrested Mills for suspected DUI and was among responders wheeling Mills through a hallway at a local hospital at the time of the incident.

Assistant District Attorney Don Hoover said that Mills "has a 40-year criminal history going back starting in 1979 with his first DWI, and he has been to the penitentiary for five different felonies."
