According to KXII-TV, the man—identified as 59-year-old Donnie Mills—was seen in body camera footage kicking Officer Chris Bell.

Bell had arrested Mills for suspected DUI and was among responders wheeling Mills through a hallway at a local hospital at the time of the incident.

Assistant District Attorney Don Hoover said that Mills "has a 40-year criminal history going back starting in 1979 with his first DWI, and he has been to the penitentiary for five different felonies."
