According to CBS News, the union representing DPS said the maximum waistline measurement for men is 40 inches and for women is 35 inches. DPS troopers who don’t meet the new standards for belly size may face termination, according to the DPSOA..
The union has filed a lawsuit against the agency in Travis County District Court and asked the Court to put the policy on hold until its legality can be determined.
