An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department who in late September posted a video to Twitter of a homeless woman singing beautifully on a subway platform was reunited with her late last week. The video of Emily Zamourka—who has been living on the streets of Los Angeles for two years—quickly went viral.
According to Good Morning America, after seeing the humble performance, Joel Diamond, CEO and president of Silver Blue Records, drafted a record deal under which Zamourka will record a series of songs that combine classical music and Electronic Dance Music (EDM).
The agency posted a brief video of the reunion on Twitter with the caption, "We saw with our brains, but we listened with our hearts. Her voice continues to captivate our city, and as the offers for help pour in, we asked: 'Emily, what can we do for you?' Her answer: 'I want to thank Officer Frazier for taking the video.' Her wish was granted tonight."
