Philadelphia Officer Injured in Crash While Responding to Call

An officer with the Philadelphia Police Department was injured when her squad car collided with another vehicle as she was responding to a call of a shooting nearly three miles from where the crash occurred.

An officer with the Philadelphia Police Department was injured when her squad car collided with another vehicle as she was responding to a call of a shooting nearly three miles from where the crash occurred, police said.

According to NBC News, the officer—whose name has not been released—suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the collision Sunday night. The driver of the other vehicle also sustained injuries.

Both were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
