According to WCSC-TV, agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested 66-year-old Ralph Martino Tuesday following an investigation into an incident in which Martino reportedly pushed an officer in the chest, causing the officer to lose his balance.
The incident began when officers were called to a local fast-food restaurant due to a reported altercation. Officers arrived and began questioning patrons, including Martino's wife.
Martino reportedly shouted, "Are you going to shoot me, “mother******?"
He has been charged with third degree assault and battery as well as misconduct in office after it was alleged he used his office to "harass and/or intimidate" the officer, reportedly threatening to have the officer fired.
