Video: Oklahoma Police Chief Killed in Florida, Officer Charged with Homicide

Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputies were called around 9:50 p.m. Sunday to the Hilton hotel on Pensacola Beach where they found Chief Miller deceased.

The Escambia County (FL) Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged an Oklahoma police officer with homicide after his police chief was found dead at a hotel on Pensacola Beach Sunday night. 

Michael Patrick Nealey, 49, was arrested Monday morning and charged in the death of Mannford, OK, Police Chief Lucky Miller, ECSO spokeswoman Sgt. Melony Peterson told the Pennsacola News Journal.

ECSO deputies were called around 9:50 p.m. Sunday to the Hilton hotel on Pensacola Beach where they found Miller deceased, Peterson said.

ECSO said the two men got into a fight, and Miller died from his injuries. 

Nealey was booked into the Escambia County Jail on Monday morning without bond, according to county records. 

Newson6.com reports that authorities say the two Oklahoma officers were attending a training on child abuse investigations.
