14 NYPD Officers Injured Rescuing Residents from Bronx Apartment Fire

At least 14 NYPD officers were injured while trying to rescue residents during a fire at a Bronx apartment building late Tuesday.

Authorities responded to the blaze that broke out at a six-story apartment building around 11 p.m., fire officials told PIX11 .

The officers suffered minor injuries of smoke inhalation after they went around the building, knocking on doors to wake residents, authorities said.
