An officer with the Barnstable (MA) Police Department suffered "what appear to be non-life-threatening leg and facial injuries" when a driver struck the officer who was working a traffic detail.
According to ABC News, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigators.
The name of the officer was not immediately released.
