2 Washington Officers Shot, Suspect Killed in Gunfight
They contacted a male subject in a vehicle in the parking lot and shortly after, a shooting occurred, according to Federal Way police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.
A male suspect is dead and two Federal Way, WA, police officers are recovering after being shot while responding to a dispute on Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to the call at an apartment complex around 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 31, the Federal Way Mirror reports.
They contacted a male subject in a vehicle in the parking lot and shortly after, a shooting occurred, according to Federal Way police Cmdr. Kurt Schwan.
“The suspect was shot and is deceased,” Schwan stated. “Two Federal Way police officers were shot …”
The officers were transported to St. Francis Hospital and Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
