Oklahoma Officer Injured as Suspected DUI Driver Slams into Squad

An Oklahoma woman has been booked into a Tulsa jail on suspicion of driving under the influence after the vehicle she was driving reportedly slammed into a squad car occupied by an officer with the Tulsa Police Department early Monday morning.

An Oklahoma woman has been booked into a Tulsa jail on suspicion of driving under the influence after the vehicle she was driving reportedly slammed into a squad car occupied by an officer with the Tulsa Police Department early Monday morning.

According to ABC News, the officer was responding to a call of a cow in the road when the suspected DUI driver—identified by authorities as Demetria Thompson—crashed into his patrol vehicle.

The officer—whose name was not disclosed—was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of a sore neck.
