Texas Town Nearing Finalization on Plans for New Police Headquarters

A small Texas town about 100 miles north of Houston is getting closer to finalizing plans to renovate an abandoned church for use as the headquarters of its police department.

A small Texas town about 100 miles north of Houston is getting closer to finalizing plans to renovate an abandoned church for use as the headquarters of its police department.

According to KBTX-TV, the town of Madisonville is working with a local architect to make internal changes to the structure which stands across from the existing city hall.

Madisonville City Manager Camilla Viator said, "As the city grows so does the number of personnel and so we need a little more space."
