An officer with the Metro Nashville Police suffered minor injuries as she was struck by a passing vehicle at a traffic stop on Thursday morning, investigators said.
According to WTVF-TV, Metro Nashville Police say the female officer—whose name has not been disclosed—was conducting a vehicle stop when she was struck in the hip area and taken off her feet by the side-view mirror of a passing car.
The officer was transported to a nearby hospital with undisclosed injuries and is expected to fully recover.
The driver who struck the officer reportedly continued to drive away from the scene and remains at large.
