A police officer in the city of Chester, PA, died on duty Saturday after suffering a medical emergency.
Officer Bronelle Barrett-Lee, a 20-year veteran of the police force and mother of four, died inside the department's Operations Center, NBC reports.
“On behalf of myself, the rest of Chester City Council, and the entire city of Chester, I offer my deepest, most heartfelt condolences to those who loved and personally knew Officer Lee," Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland said in a statement.
